Memory all alone in the moonlight...

Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight, the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

Every streetlamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning
Someone mutters, and a streetlamp gutters,
And soon it will be morning.

Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
And I mustn't give in.
When the dawn comes, tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Burnt out ends of smokey days
The stale cold smell of morning
The streetlamp dies, another night is over
Another day is dawning...

Touch me!
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun...
If you touch me, you'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day
Has begun

Life

We go through day by day constantly thinking and worrying about ultimately insignificant matters, stressing and feeling bad about the hurtful words someone might have said, regretting the choices that we may have made - and constantly forgetting to just STOP and enjoy the beautiful sunset, smell the scent of new rain, appreciate the colors of the leaves, and be brightened by the warmth of the sun. So when you have a bad day, stop thinking about all the little things that has been making you feel so down, to just look up at the sky and realize how small your problem really is in comparison to the whole universe. And whisper a word of thanks for being alive, for having the chance to make a difference in the world, and for having the gift of LIFE. Too often we forget what really matters in this world - and we need to be reminded from time to time.
