Feelings

I once read in a book that our feelings and emotions are the guide to our happiness and our heart's deepest desires. If you are overwhelmed with positive, happy, and comforting emotions that means you are getting closer to your deepest desire. However, if you are feeling bad, regretful, guilty, or experience any type of negative emotion, that means you are going farther away from what you really want and what your heart is desiring. In order to be happy, you have to pay close attention to your emotions and feelings, because by paying attention to them you can turn the negative emotions into positive ones...and become closer to reaching your heart's deepest desire.

It sounds simple enough, but what do you do when you have conflicting emotions? Does that mean I don't know what my deepest desire is, or have I lost sight of it? I sure hope not.
